Book a four poster bedroom at the 450 year old Cavendish Arms Coaching Inn and their friendly ghost might just pay you a visit! They now have 3 more luxury rooms above the new Perfect English home furnishings and antiques shop in the village square.

The Royal Oak has four comfortable double rooms and offers food, fine wines and a variety of cask ales. The Pig & Whistle is a recently refurbished traditional small pub offering B&B accommodation and fantastic food. Both the Royal Oak and Pig & Whistle have beer gardens.

Alternatively, you can dine at the Michelin Star restaurant, L'Enclume, and stay in one of their beautifully furnished modern rooms.

Aynsome Manor Hotel is a family run 17th century Manor House on the outskirts of the village.

Cartmel Caravan and Camping Park is under new owners, Andrew Cretney & Zarina Wace, and it is conveniently situated only a two minute walk from the village.

The Byre is a luxury 2 bedroom holiday cottage in the Cartmel Valley ( Awarded 4 stars), while Cartmel Cottages have a number of self-catering cottages around the village. Sisson's Holiday Lets also have a self-catering holiday cottage in the heart of Cartmel village.

Self-catering Woodland Cottage sleeps 4 situated at Greenbank on the edge Cartmel. Greenbank View on Aynsome Lane is a quiet, country retreat just outside Cartmel, in its own walled garden with lovely views. Greenbank View offers self-catering accommodation with 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms.

Hill Farm Holiday Cottage is an idyllic holiday cottage that sleeps up to 9 people situated in the beautiful Cartmel countryside.

A few miles away in Field Broughton, Greaves Farm Caravan Park has luxury holiday caravans. Tourers and tents are also welcome.

Built around 1810, and set in two acres of south facing gardens, Broughton House is a peaceful haven away from it all, situated just 2 miles north of Cartmel at Field Broughton.
