Cartmel & District Association Football Club
Cartmel & District AFC was first established just after the First World War but was reconstituted in the 1930's, since which time it has competed in the North Lancs and District Football League. It has a proud record of success in the League, notching up 9 Premier League championships in 12 seasons between 1987 and 1998, more recently finishing runners-up in 2009-2010. Both the first team and the reserves have won a number of cup competitions (one for each team in 2009-2010).For a small village club, we are well organised and have recently applied for the FA's Charter Standard qualification (if successful, this will recognise that we are run to FA-approved standards). On the junior side, our "feeder" club is Grange & District Juniors.
